Selfless Service at Fall Ordeal

This past Ordeal was very successful. First, I would like to thank all of the Elangomats and service foremen for all of their help, and of course everyone else who helped to make the Ordeal such a great success.

We inducted 28 new members and converted 6 members to the Brotherhood Honor. The ceremonies team worked very hard, and ultimately performed some impressive ceremonies.

We also completed a lot of great, meaningful, service projects. The clans sanded and painted all of the picnic tables, broke down and stored away many fixtures from Cub Scout Day Camp, raked out the lake, and built an amphitheater at the “erosion pit”. Members also worked to put up fences and other much-needed maintenance around camp.

These projects, like many of our service projects to Pine Tree, are helping to make it a better place to camp and enjoy the pinelands. I hope to see even more members at the Spring Ordeal, so we can continue our service to Pine Tree and Burlington County.
