On December 28th, 2009, Hunnikick's own Brian Ahrens was elected Northeast Region Chief at the OA National Planning Meeting in West Lake, Texas.  He is the first member of our Lodge to have ever served as a national officer.

    Brian was inducted in the spring of 2003, and has served Hunnikick as Camp Promotions Chairman, Vice Chief of Program, and Lodge Chief. He went on to serve as secretary for Section NE-2A, and has twice been elected Section Chief.  Brian served on NOAC staff last year as the Conference Vice Chief for Activities and Recreation in 2009.  He will be playing a big role this summer on Chief's Corps at the National Scout Jamboree. As Region Chief, Brian will have the important role of organizing and implementing a host of national programs, including the National Leadership Seminar. In his free time, he will travel the northeast visiting Lodge's and representing the Order of the Arrow.

    Brian is a sophomore at The College of New Jersey, where he studies Political Science.
